End User Terms of Use

These terms of use (together with the documents and other applicable terms referred to in it)set out the terms on which you may make use of the Technology platform (the “site”), a siteoperated by the British Pharmacological Society ("we", "our" or "us"). Use of the site includesaccessing, browsing, or registering to use the site.

Please read these terms of use carefully before you start to use the site. We recommend thatyou print a copy of this page for future reference.

By using the site, you confirm that you accept these terms of use and that you agree to complywith them.

If you do not agree to these terms of use, you must not use the site.

OTHER APPLICABLE TERMS

Our Privacy Policy shall also apply to your use of the site. These set out the terms on whichwe process any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us. By using the site,you consent to such processing and you confirm that all data provided by you is accurate.

CHANGES TO THE SITE

We may update the site and may change the content at any time. However, please note thatalthough we make reasonable efforts to keep the content updated we make norepresentations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that the content on thesite is accurate, complete or up-to-date, or any content on it, will be free from errors oromissions.

ACCESSING THE SITE

We will do our best to make the site available, however we cannot guarantee that the site, orany content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted. Access to the site is permittedon a temporary basis. We may need to suspend, withdraw, discontinue or change all or anypart of the site without notice. We will not be liable to you if for any reason the site is unavailableat any time or for any period.

You are responsible for configuring your information technology, computer programmes andplatform in order to access the site.

You are also responsible for ensuring that all persons who access the site through yourinternet connection are aware of these terms of use and other applicable terms and conditionswhich may apply, and that they comply with them.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in the site, and in the materialpublished on it. Those works are protected by copyright and treaties around the world. All suchrights are reserved.

You may not use or copy any part of the site, including any material from the site, without anappropriate license from us or our licensors, other than temporarily in the course of using thesite or to keep a record of a transaction entered into using our site.

Your use of the information contained on the site or any downloadable item is at your own risk.

SIGN-IN

Where you choose or you are provided with, a username and password for the purpose ofaccessing materials through the site, you must treat such login details as confidential. Youmust not disclose it to any third party.

We have the right to disable any user name or password, whether chosen by you or allocatedby us, at any time, if in our reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of theprovisions of these terms of use.

If you know or suspect that anyone other than you knows your username or password, youmust promptly notify us at bpsassessment@bps.ac.uk.

VIRUSES

Despite our reasonable efforts, we do not guarantee that the site will be secure or free frombugs or viruses. You should use your own virus protection software.

You must not misuse the site by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombsor other material which is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gainunauthorised access to the site, the server on which the site is stored or any server, computeror database connected to the site. You must not attack the site via a denial-of-service attackor a distributed denial-of service attack. By breaching this provision, you may commit anoffence in law, including under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We will report any such breachto the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will co-operate with those authorities bydisclosing your identity to them. In the event of such a breach, your right to use the site willcease immediately.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Nothing in these terms of use excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury arisingfrom our negligence, or our fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability thatcannot be excluded or limited by English law.

APPLICABLE LAW

These terms of use, its subject matter and its formation (including any non-contractualdisputes or claims) are governed by English law. You and we both agree that the courts ofEngland will have exclusive jurisdiction. However, if you are a resident of Northern Ireland youmay also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are resident of Scotland, you mayalso bring proceedings in Scotland.
